There are actually a lot of things,that you just don't understand .
If rape was about how revealing their clothes were, rape rates would quadruple during the summer.BUT THEY DON'T !
If rape was about how much sex someone had in the past,then virgins wouldn't get raped.BUT THEY DO!
If rape was about how attractive a person was by conventional standards ,then only thin,white ,abled people would get raped. BUT THEY DON'T
If rape was about how much they drank,then sober people wouldn't get raped.BUT THEY DO!

''Rape is not the victims fault''!!!

Its just some goddamn people blaming the victims for being raped feeds into the culture of women not reporting because women are afraid that they'd be blamed for what happened to them and be labelled as being 'impure'.Why it is that women have to be fighting back during the rape and if she didn't,it means that she wanted it ?!!
Yes,Rape is one of the most terrible crimes on earth,and it happens every few minutes.The problem with groups who deal with rape is that they try to educate women about how to 'defend themselves'.What really needs to be done is teaching men not to rape and to add a bit ,rape is the only crime ,where victim becomes the accused !!!

Now what are the most stupid statements given by our so called political leaders on rape-

1. Mamta Banerjee,CM,West Bengal- ''Rape cases are on a rise in the country because men and women interact with each other more freely now ''.    [Please mam,we are here waiting for you to ban coed schools and colleges,you can also divide Bengal into two parts 'he' and 'she']
2. Dharamvir Goyat,Haryana Pradesh Congress committee member-''90% rapes are consensual''    [You've seriously nailed it Sir !Common lets just end all the Drama and stop worrying at all about rapes ]
3. Abu Azmi,Samajwadi part leader on 2012 Delhi Gang rape-''What is the need for roaming at night with men who are not relatives?This should be stopped''    [Actually,why not chain women in the evening.No movement ,No roaming out!]
4. Om prakash Chautala,former chief minister,Haryana-''Girls should be married at the age of 16,so that they have their husbands for their sexual needs & they don't need to go elsewhere.This way rapes will not occur''    [Oh man ,so? A girl gets raped because she has sexual needs?You are from a different planet altogether sir!]
5. Sushil Kumar Shinde,Minister of Home Affairs on 2012 Delhi gang rape-''This kind of rape should not occur''   [And other kinds of rapes are allowed?]

Shameful enough!!No words.

So in the world's largest democracy,the best culture on earth,women can get raped,but not protest against a rape,no place for women at all?

Politicians like these and republic like us?We also blame society don't we? But are we not society?

I am totally against a mindset that first makes me a victim and then blames me for what was done to me, I am against policies created solely to control or humble me.

   ( The government will pay money to compensate rape victims.What is your fee?If you are raped,what will be your fee? )

I am against social conditioning that says feminine =weak /bad /dirty /wrong.

I am against toxic girl hate.(Girl-on-girl hate is such a huge issue in schools ,at the workplace and/or online.Please spread some girl love )

I am against the idea that its okay to touch/hurt/rape/shame/control my body because it is considered public property,

Against harmful gendered politics disguised as ''protection'' (Stop it okay!We are too fed up)

Against defining people by an outdated gender binary and /or their genitals.

Media totally objectifies women,& this objectification of women is what society has proven they want to see in entertainment media.

Yes,no doubt media objectifies women,the video songs we see now show the girls being used as a prop.            

      ''Tota hi Tota''    ''Ladkiyon ka buffet'' ( Seriously? :/  & obviously this gives rise to sexism:) 

Why can't we avoid using language that objectifies or degrades women?

Why can't we speak if we hear someone  else making an offensive joke or trivializing rape?

Or at least we can just let survivors know that it is not their fault and hold abusers accountable for their actions;do not let them make excuses like blaming the victim,alcohol,or drugs for their behavior.

We believe that men have the capacity to be responsible for his actions and think rationally.

We can be an active bystander ,communicate with sexual partners and do not assume consent,we should be respectful of other's physical space even in casual situations.

What we don't have to do is

•  blaming the victims (that she asked for it!)
• Trivializing sexual assault (that Boys will be Boys'')
• Tolerance of sexual harassment ( Sadly we still don't have an environment where when a women very clearly says No,its a No. )
• Defining ''Manhood'' as dominant and sexually aggressive & defining ''Womanhood'' as submissive and sexually passive.
• Teaching women to avoid getting raped

And lastly, I am against a world view that has no place for growth ,change ,art,freedom or revolution.

So I hereby declare 2017 ''The year of Fuck That Shit''.No more putting up with bullshit from Anyone because I deserve better than Bullshit.

No more biting my tongue to appease others.No more being a doormat

''I will Speak my Truth ''.
